As a fanboy, I met Australian guitar virtuoso Tommy Emmanuel when I was 19.

Recognising my passion for photography, he invited me to 'hang out' at his concerts, and he was instrumental in launching my early career as a photographer in the Australian music industry in the 1990s.

We lost contact after he relocated to Nashville, Tennessee.

I reunited with my 'dear friend' after 25 years, at his concert at Melbourne's Hamer Hall in 2023.
