Mother’s Day Floral & Art

An idea born out of 'lockdown' in April 2020.

I began photographing flowers that our 5-year-old daughter Hannah had foraged during our neighbourhood walks.⁣

⁣To keep her entertained during these times, we decided to do something 'crafty' with her precious finds by pressing them.

⁣⁣As a photographer, I have often been a 'control freak', especially when it comes to lighting in the controlled environment of the studio. But many aspects of our lives were out of our control. So, I embraced a different approach. I experimented outside my usual comfort zone, letting nature dictate the time of day and which area of the house I could shoot - using only available natural light.⁣

⁣⁣Joining forces with my florist wife, Basia, we, as a family trio, decided to offer something unique and special for Mother's Day 2020 during lockdown. ⁣A floral bouquet created from locally sourced & grown florals and Limited Edition greeting cards featuring Hannah's flowers, all hand-crafted (by us) in the confines of our home.
